The Trip Home
Day 15: January 11th, 2007
The flight from Bamako was uneventful once we got on the plane. The woman at the ticket counter wanted us to see the Customs people before getting on the plane, and the guards at the entrance were quite rude. The security people that were to x-ray our bags were asleep when we got to their counter. Then when we were boarding the plane, security then saw fit to search the carry-on bags of everyone boarding the plane.
Here we are waiting at the airport in Casablanca for our connector to London.
After the flight to London, we went to David's flat for a few beers. It was rather late and we were all tired. Derek, Mike, and I soon went back to the hotel for a good night's sleep. Our flight home to Canada [for Derek, Mike, and myself] would be the following afternoon.
Day 16: January 12th, 2007
We got up early, Derek had fallen ill, so Mike and I met with David for a short tour of London. I have never been before, too bad it had to be a short visit. Also, the weather was a little cool and cloudy.
